About Me
I'm passionate about making music lessons accessible to children and want them to be able to learn without being put off by traditional teaching methods that focus solely on western classical music. I understand the importance of respecting each student's unique identity and love to engage children through learning music they'll love to play and sing and through games and active learning. Most of all I believe that music is in our blood as human beings and being able to find the confidence to explore and express ourselves through music is essential to our wellbeing and development.
My experience ranges from teaching very early beginners the basics (my youngest student was 2.5 years of age!) to helping students prepare for ABRSM and Trinity graded exams and I have a 100% pass rate!

I am a highly motivated and experienced popular music graduate with a diverse and extensive range of experience working in music education. I am a grade 8 classically trained pianist and perform as a solo artist and singer-songwriter when I’m not teaching. I have demonstrable experience working both parapetically and in groups, with a track record of preparing students for auditions, exams and performances
